I'm 19, and currently studying music technology at Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. On the side of my uni work I do photography as a hobby, and also for the biggest nightlife photography website in Europe, Tilllate.com where I am currently "Photographer" rank. My main photography interests are in musicians and models, but I'll take photos of just about anything if it seems like a good idea! I am trying to get work mainly in the live music area, but I don't want to pidgeonhole myself into that as there are so many different branches of photography that interest me. I'd love to get a photograph from the top of mount Everest (or any mountain) just for that on top of the world feeling... Just as much as I'd like to get a photograph from deep underwater or in the middle of no where... I like to think of myself as an easy going, easy to get along with person who's up for anything, anything is worth a try, and if it doesn't work - think of something else! Being a musician myself I know what musicians want from live photographs, a reflection of the energy and show that they put on - not just a photograph of them playing. I aim to capture this energy in my live work, and would love to photograph some bigger bands at bigger venues! I currently use an entry level DSLR - Pentax K100D, but hope to upgrade that soon. I use a Nissin 360TW flash with an extra Nissin flash for lighting effects, they're ancient (1988) but do the job brilliantly! |
